INDIANAPOLIS - On the eve of Super Bowl XLVI, the Patriots made a roster move - their first in the last few weeks. WR Tiquan Underwood has been let go, and practice squad rookie d-lineman Alex Silvestro has been called up to the active roster.
The Underwood move is a bit puzzling at this late stage, but it all but ensures that WR Chad Ochocinco (who missed the AFC title game due to the death of his father) will be active for the biggest game of his career.
Silvestro, meantime, now has a chance to appear in just the second game of his nascent NFL career. He saw his first action in the Christmas Eve game against Miami. It's still possible, though, that he could be among the seven inactive players on game day.
