ALAMEDA, Calif. (March 10, 2005) -- The Oakland Raiders re-signed offensive lineman Ron Stone, just a week after waiving him in a salary-cap maneuver.

Stone, a three-time Pro Bowler, started only five games for the Raiders last season while being slowed by an injured left knee.

Oakland signed Stone as a free agent last March, giving him a three-year contract. Terms of his new contract were not disclosed.

Stone has played in 157 games over his 12-year career with Oakland, San Francisco, the New York Giants and Dallas, playing every position on the offensive line. He made the Pro Bowl from 2000-02. He also played in two Super Bowls, winning it in 1996 with Dallas and losing in 2001 with the Giants.
