Rams add four to coaching staff

The St. Louis Rams added four assistants to new coach Scott Linehan's staff.

ST. LOUIS (Feb. 13, 2006) -- The St. Louis Rams added four assistants to new coach Scott Linehan's staff.

Joe Baker will serve as the defensive quality control coach, Jim Chaney the assistant offensive line coach, Jeff Horton the special assistant for offense, and Brad Roll the assistant strength and conditioning coach.

Baker, entering his 12th NFL season, was previously the secondary and safeties coach for the Green Bay Packers. Roll, entering his 14th season in the league, spent the past two seasons as the Buffalo Bills' strength and conditioning coordinator.

Chaney and Horton will be making their NFL coaching debuts. Chaney spent the past nine seasons as the offensive coordinator at Purdue, and Horton was named the tight ends coach and special teams coordinator at Iowa State last month.
