Q: With how the preseason went, are you confident heading into the regular season?
RM: I don't see any frustration or anything setting in around here. We are getting ready for Sunday. We look forward to a good game.
Q: Are you looking forward to getting quarterback Tom Brady back in the huddle and running the offense?
RM: I don't think just me but the whole team is ready for Tom [Brady] to come back. He is the leader of this team. He does some great things out there on the field with the ball. He really wasn't out there with us during preseason and I guess that is a good thing, but we will see Sunday.
Q: You kind of disputed the myth last season that a quarterback and receiver need to work on their timing in the preseason since you didn't play in the preseason. Do you think you can do it the other way now with quarterback Tom Brady missing the preseason this year?
RM: I think we will be all right. We have enough timing down from last year, to the [mini] camps and also a little bit of training camp. I think we will be fine. We are going to put our guys out there and see what happens.
Q: How do you feel physically compared to last year?
RM: There is no comparison, really. I just feel good and ready to go. That is about it.
Q: You have had a long career, do you still get excited about the regular season starting?
RM: I get excited everyday especially coming to work. I think that this year, like I said before, the bar and expectations are so high - the bar has been raised so high - that it is actually a little bit easier to focus because we know what we have to do. The way I feel, and I am not speaking for the team, I feel pretty good and waiting for Sunday to get another season started.
