OWINGS MILLS, Md. (March 15, 2005) -- The Baltimore Ravens agreed in principle on two-year contracts with long snapper Joe Maese and offensive lineman Cooper Carlisle.
Carlisle agreed to a contract worth $2 million that includes a $500,000 signing bonus. The 6-foot-5, 295-pound blocker should be the primary backup to right tackle Orlando Brown and guards Edwin Mulitalo and Keydrick Vincent.
Carlisle played in all 16 games, including five starts, for Denver in 2004. The Broncos allowed just 15 sacks, a franchise record, and rushed for 2,333 yards.
Maese, 26, has been Baltimore's long snapper since 2001, missing only two games.
