According to Fox Sports, Patriots veteran free agent guard Dan Connolly was set to visit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Tuesday.
Connolly served as New England's offensive line captain this past fall when he started all 13 games he played, the bulk of which came filling Logan Mankins large shoes at left guard after the Pro Bowler was traded to Tampa Bay last August.
Connolly is a 10th-year veteran who'll turn 33 this summer. He's started 71 of the 85 games he's played in New England dating back to 2009, seeing time at center and both guard spots in his time with the Patriots. Connolly has started all 43 games he's played in for the Patriots over the last three seasons.
Until this point there has been very little reported activity with Connolly, whether it be about re-signing with the Patriots or pursuing jobs on the open market.
