The Patriots reportedly added another player Thursday afternoon by signing safety Terrence Brooks.
According to ESPN, the 5-11, 196-pound Brooks signed a two-year deal after playing the last two seasons with the Jets. Brooks entered the league as a third-round pick out of Florida State by Baltimore in 2014. He spent two seasons with the Ravens before spending 2016 in Philadelphia and then moved on to the Jets. He appeared in 65 career regular-season games with one start.
Brooks is considered more of a special teams player but has 43 career tackles, three interceptions, two forced fumbles and a pair of fumble recoveries to his credit.
