Evidently the Patriots work at cornerback didn't end withBradley Fletcher. Shortly after word broke that the former Eagle would be joining the team, Robert McClaintweeted the following:
McClain visited with the Patriots on Tuesday after spending the last three years with Atlanta. The 5-9, 195-pound corner is entering his sixth NFL season and also spent time with Carolina (2010) and Jacksonville (2011). He was a seventh-round pick by the Panthers in 2010 after playing his college ball at UConn and has been primarily a nickel back during his career.
He started 15 games for the Falcons in three years and struggled at times but is also considered a solid special teams player. He has three interceptions in 63 career games, 17 of which were starts. He should enter into the mix at cornerback along with Fletcher as the Patriots try to replace departed starters Darrelle Revisand Brandon Browner.
