EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (Nov. 16, 2005) -- Minnesota running back Moe Williams will miss the remainder of the season following surgery on his right knee.
A versatile 10-year veteran who has excelled in the past on special teams and as a blocker, runner and receiver, Williams' impact has been minimized this year by problems with his knee and back. He had only 20 yards rushing on 13 carries and 52 yards receiving on eight catches, with rookie Ciatrick Fason replacing him as the primary back in short-yardage situations.
