HOUSTON (May 13, 2005) -- The Houston Texans signed offensive tackle Victor Riley to a one-year contract.
The 6-foot-5, 328-pound Riley has spent the past three years with New Orleans, where he played at right tackle for the last two seasons.
Riley will probably be moved to left tackle in Houston to compete with unproven third-year player Seth Wand. The Texans already have veteran Todd Wade starting at right tackle.
Houston has struggled to protect quarterback David Carr. The Texans allowed 49 sacks last season, 26th out of 32 NFL teams.
The Texans also waived linebacker Tyreo Harrison. Harrison played with Green Bay in 2004.
