Tom Brady named SNICKERS HUNGRIEST PLAYER of week 9

The Patriots QB Tom Brady was named “SNICKERS HUNGRIEST PLAYER” of week 9

Hackettstown, NJ, November 4, 2003 - Tom Brady was named the Monday Night Football SNICKERS® HUNGRIEST PLAYER™ for Week 9 following his performance against the Denver Broncos last night at Invesco Field. Brady threw for three touchdowns including an 18-yard game-winner to David Givens with just 30 seconds left in the game.

On the night Brady completed 20 of 35 passes for 350 yards with TD passes of 66, 6, and the 18-yard winner to Givens. The win pushed New England's AFC East-leading record to 7-2. In earning the SNICKERS® HUNGRIEST PLAYER™ selection made by the Monday Night Football broadcast team, all fans who visited the Snickers web site and correctly selected Brady prior to 11:00 PM EST last night will receive a free Snickers bar, and will automatically be eligible for a trip for two to Super Bowl XXXVIII in Houston, TX.

Each week, five players from each team in the Monday Night game appear on Snickers.com, along with a "WILDCARD" for each team. Fans log onto the site, register with a code found inside the wrapper of specially marked Snickers bars, and select a player from the ten nominees, or choose the "WILDCARD" representative of the remaining players on the rosters.

The winner of the Super Bowl trip will be randomly selected later this week from all fans who picked Tom Brady to win the SNICKERS® HUNGRIEST PLAYER™ in last night's game. Throughout the season, Snickers will award 16 Super Bowl trips, a winner for each of the 16 Monday Night Football telecasts. Previous winners have included Tampa Bay's Joe Jurevicius (Week1), Cowboys' Billy Cundiff, Quincy Carter and Terry Glenn (Week 2), Denver's Jake Plummer (Week 3), Green Bay's Ahman Green (Week 4), Indianapolis' Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison (Week 5), Rams' Marc Bulger and Torry Holt (Week 6), Kansas City's Priest Holmes (Week 7), and Miami's Patrick Surtain (Week 8).

Fans can visit Snickers.com this week until 11 PM EST on Monday, September 29, and vote for next week's SNICKERS® HUNGRIEST PLAYER™ for the Eagles-Packers game in Green Bay.
