Q: **What's it like out there in terms of trying to be efficient offensively?
TB:We just…I'm glad we won, but we just obviously have a lot of room for improvement. We need to try to get back to work and see if we can do better next week.
Q:Is it an understatement to say that you were a little ticked off at points?
TB:I think everybody was, you know, when you don't execute the way that you're capable. We just have to keep fighting.
Q:So when you're frustrated on the sidelines and talking to players, what are you telling them? How do you get through to these guys?
TB:Well, we have a long way to go. No one's coming to rescue and save the day, so we've just got to fight through it and have got to work harder and do better and try to be more consistent. Hopefully we can score more points.
Q:You were fairly demonstrative tonight on a couple of occasions. Does that ever worry you that could be counterproductive?
TB:Yeah, it does. I think I have to do a better job with my body language. I definitely can improve that. I wouldn't say it's a real strong point of mine right now. We'll just try to keep doing better. That's what we've got to do.
Q:Can you talk about Julian Edelman tonight?
TB:Yeah, he did a great job. He caught the ball, caught it in traffic. He really did a great job of really being dependable out there. Everyone is trying to do it; we're all working at it. It just takes a little bit of time. I'm glad we won in a situation like this. It's a good defense and they challenge you. We just didn't execute as well as we are capable.
Q:You're 36 years-old and you know how hard it is to get back. Is that something these guys have to experience on their own? You can't tell them that?
TB:I think everybody has their own experience. Last year we were 1-2 and we ended up having a great season, so I'm glad we started out 2-0 with two wins in the division. I just want us to do a better job on offense and carry our end – and do the job that we're supposed to be able to do. We just need to do it better – all of us.
Q:Can you take us through that first touchdown pass you threw on the opening drive?
TB:We were being pretty aggressive there in a short-yardage situation and AD [Aaron Dobson] slipped behind them and I just gave it to him. He did all the work; it wasn't even a great throw. I'm glad we got on the board early and got a lead, played from ahead. That's always important, especially when you get weather conditions. But we squandered some opportunities; had short fields and didn't do anything with it. We just have to do a better job all the way around.
Q:So what do you personally do tonight and tomorrow? Do you put this game behind do you or do you go through it? Do you need to get some space from it?
TB:We have to evaluate and try to get it right. It just doesn't magically come together. You have to work hard at it and you have to concentrate. All of us have to do a better job at that. The passing game is all about anticipation. They have to anticipate what I'm going to do and I have to anticipate what they're going to do. We can do a better job of that. I think it's unrealistic for them to feel like they can do it like 10-year veterans. It's not what they are, but they're trying hard and they work really hard and they have a lot of skill and they're great kids. We've just got to keep battling.
Q:Is this a hell of a challenge, walking in after a frustrating game?
TB:Yeah. We can learn from it, there's no question. You learn from every game, win lose or draw, and I think we're going to learn from this one. These games aren't easy. It's hard to win games and it's hard to win against division opponents. Our defense played great, got us the ball and we did a good job protecting it for the most part. So we just keep fighting.
Q:Is it hard for a rookie receiver, as talented as they might be physically, to be comfortable and do their job without being comfortable from a mental point in your offense?
TB:We're just all trying to get it right mentally, physically, the execution on game day, execution in practice. It just takes a lot of work. We've put a lot of work in, we've tried, but obviously we need to keep working. Like I said, it's not going to be easy by any stretch. We just have to put the work in and see if we can make improvements.
