In the 34-17 victory Brady completed 19-of-26 passes for 258 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions. He improved to 6-3 as the Patriots starter and upped the teams overall record to 6-5. Brady beat out Pittsburgh's **Kordell Stewart** and Oakland's **Rich Gannon** for the weekly honor.

Brady was the second Patriot to take the league-wide honor this season. Wide receiver David Patten won it in Week Six when he caught, threw and ran for touchdowns in the same game against Indianapolis.

For the season Brady is currently fourth in the league with a quarterback rating of 93.5. He has completed 178-of-274 attempts (65 percent) for 1,869 yards, 16 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
