Philadelphia Eagles coaches and players comment on their upcoming game against the New England Patriots.
On playing the Patriots...
"The track record of the Patriots, who they are and where they're at, especially this season – they're one of the best in the league, and they're up there for a reason. I'm just excited for the opportunity to go compete on Sunday."
- Eagles Quarterback Carson Wentz
"It comes down to two good football teams playing on Sunday."
- Eagles Defensive Tackle Fletcher Cox
On the Patriots defense...
"I think the biggest thing that jumps out to you right now, the glaring thing, is the turnover ratio. I mean, the fact that they've got six defensive scores this season, the interceptions, the fumbles they're causing - it's a brand of defense where they just smother you. They just corral you. They're OK with giving you two, three, four yards, but they're right on top of you. Their secondary is that way aggressively and their front seven are that way."
- Eagles Head Coach Doug Pederson
"The Patriots are unique in that they have a lot of different looks, they're well coached, and they find a way to take away what you really do well and make you win another way. That's always been model. They're going to find out what plays you like to run, how you like to attack people and take that away. They're going to find out who your best players are and double them and do what they can to make sure that guy is not the one that is going to beat them."
- Eagles Center Jason Kelce
"You understand that when you're getting ready to play them, you could see something totally new, that you've never seen [from them] before, and you have to be ready for that."
- Eagles Quarterback Josh McCown
On Tom Brady...
"We know everything hinges around Tom [Brady] and how he operates, and he operates at a high level. It's rare that you get to him. I mean, he does a great job of spreading the ball around; that part of it doesn't change. He gets the ball out of his hand. He's OK throwing it away and not taking negative yardage plays, and from that standpoint, that's still the same."
- Eagles Head Coach Doug Pederson
"I have a ton of respect for him and what he's done. Like I always say, I'm facing their defense and he's facing our defense, but it will be cool to compete on the same field with him."
- Eagles Quarterback Carson Wentz
