Tom Brady, QB - The G.O.A.T. made it clear he expected to make his preseason debut with work against the Eagles. After reportedly dealing with a "sore back" leading up to sitting out the preseason opener, Brady increased his practice reps this week and now he'll begin to build a rapport with his new-look receiving corps on the game field.

Jason McCourty, CB - The curious case of McCourty's practice reps and standing in New England should finally hit the game field against the Eagles. Is the veteran on track to start opposite Stephon Gilmore? Is he on the roster bubble?

Rob Gronkowski, TE - The All-Pro tight end has seemingly had some of his reps monitored along with Brady's this summer, including sitting out the preseason opener. Gronkowski remains the centerpiece of the Patriots passing attack and assuming he steps on the field will be worth watching on every snap.

Ralph Webb, RB - The undrafted rookie was a star in the comeback win over the Redskins with a pair of second-half touchdowns. It will be interesting to see if he can build on that performance and maybe get some higher-end reps as he strives to win a job in New England.

Ja'Whaun Bentley, LB - Much like Webb, Bentley was a standout youngster against Washington. He took some reps with returning veteran defenders this week in practice and appears to be a player very much on the rise early this summer.

Nick Foles, QB - Though he's destined to return to the backup role this season, the Super Bowl-winning fill-in will be a test for a Patriots pass defense that had issues in the preseason opener. Foles will give way to Carson Wentz soon, but on Thursday night he'll be getting the early "meaningful" reps.

Michael Bennett, DE - The veteran former Seahawk has wowed people this summer in his first training camp in Philly. Bennett adds more punch to an already impressive Eagles defensive front and poses a challenge for the Patriots new-look offensive line.

Dallas Goedert, TE - Philadelphia's rookie tight end was the star of the preseason opener with four catches for 66 yards against the Steelers. The second-round pick offers a youthful test for the Patriots pass defense, particularly the safeties and linebackers.

Sidney Jones, CB - The second-year cornerback was one of the top prospects in last year's draft until he suffered a torn Achilles at Washington's Pro Day. After missing all but one game last season to the injury, Jones is getting up to speed this summer as he looks to secure a top-three cornerback role in the Eagles secondary.

Mike Wallace, WR - It seems like forever ago that Wallace was the speedy deep threat for the Steelers. But the veteran addition – whose real first name is appropriately Burnell -- has been a pleasant surprise this summer in Philly and still has the speed to take the top off a defense.
