Players to Watch: Patriots at Jets
Patriots Football Weekly's Andy Hart shares his players to watch during the Patriots Week 12 matchup against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, November 25, 2018.

Tom Brady – Brady used the bye week to balance out some family time with extra video review of the first half of the season. With mediocre numbers through the first 10 games, Brady and the Patriots offense should be frothing at the mouth coming out of the break against the rival Jets.

Rob Gronkowski – Gronk will reportedly return from a two-game absence due to back and ankle injuries. He's in the midst of a disappointing season and faces a challenge from New York's young safeties. If not now for Gronkowski to get back to his dominating, playmaking ways, then when?

Sony Michel – The Patriots offense has been at its best this season when the first-round rookie balanced things out with a productive rushing attack. Coming out of the bye it would be nice to see Michel (and the offensive line) get back to his 100-yard ways against a very average Jets run defense.

Stephon Gilmore – It's interesting that arguably Gilmore's three worst games of the season coincided with three ugly Patriots road losses, including the pre-bye beatdown in Tennessee. Ideally Gilmore should be New England's best defensive player and should bounce back against a pretty poor Jets passing attack.

Lawrence Guy – The veteran defensive tackle has been one of the more consistent, reliable defenders for New England. Guy and the front will be tested by a Jets offense that needs to run the football with Isaiah Crowell if it's going to attempt the upset.

Isaiah Crowell – Crowell has been the most productive part of the Jets offense – leading New York with 114 rushes for 552 yards and six touchdowns – with the bulk coming in wins over the Lions and Broncos. Since the Jets have just three wins, it would seem that Crowell's ground production is the biggest key to the team's chances for victory.

Robby Anderson – Though Anderson isn't New York's most frequent passing target, he is the most dangerous. Anderson has a 16.5-yard average on his 21 catches and is tied for the team lead with three touchdown receptions, including a 76-yarder.

Leonard Williams – The former first-round pick is the last man standing on the Jets defensive line once littered with top picks. Williams is tied for second on the team with three sacks and is a force in the run game.

Jamal Adams – A first-round pick a year ago, Adams is a versatile young safety who can impact a defense against both the run and the pass. He moves around the scheme in roles at safety, cornerback, linebacker and even as a rusher off the edge. Adams is the man in the middle of it all for the New York defense.

Avery Williamson – The former Titans linebacker has seemingly been a pleasant surprise for the Jets defense. In 10 starts Williamson leads the Jets with 78 tackles while adding three sacks, an interception, four passes defensed, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.
