Bill Belichick's "NFL 100" appearance earns him a Sports Emmy nomination

Bill Belichick earned an Emmy nomination for his appearance on "NFL 100 All-Time Team" panel. 

Add another accolade to Bill Belichick's resume. On top of eight Super Bowl rings and three Coach of the Year honors, Coach Belichick is now also an Emmy nominee.

The nominations for this year's Sports Emmys were announced Thursday afternoon, and Coach Belichick earned one for his appearance on NFL Network's "NFL 100 All-Time Team" panel. He is one of six nominated in the "Outstanding Sports Personality - Studio Analyst" category, and he is in good company.

In addition to Coach Belichick, Charles Barkley, Jay Bilas, Al Leiter, Kenny Smith and Michael Strahan were also nominated.

His analysis on the NFL Network series showed just how vast Coach Belichick's knowledge and passion for the game truly is, and he also had some incredible stories about guys he coached. He shared insight on coaching moments with legends like Randy Moss, Junior Seau, Adam Vinatieri, Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski, including the time Gronk fell asleep in a pre-draft meeting with Patriots coaches.
