Two unlikely friends in Boston sports lore, brought together by expert-level trolling, finally met Wednesday night.
After weeks of social media banter, Boston Celtic Terry Rozier and former Patriot Drew Bledsoe met before the Celtics took on the 76ers in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference semifinals, and apparently Drew was a good luck charm. Boston beat Philadelphia to advance to the Eastern Conference finals.

The relationship between the Patriots great and the young Celtic began when Terry called Eric Bledsoe of the Bucks "Drew Bledsoe" in a press conference by accident. When asked about Terry the following game, Eric responded by saying he had no idea who Terry was. Terry has dominated in the Celtics playoff run so far, and before you knew it, throwback Bledsoe jerseys were back in style all around Patriots Nation.
With No. 11 rocking a No. 12 Celtics jersey Wednesday night, Drew fired up the crowd on the big screen as Scary Terry scored 17 points. After the game, Drew spoke with the media about his bond with Terry, meeting him for the first time and even taking it to his business, Doubleback Winery.
"The Terry Rose may be the thing. Watch out," Drew said. "I'm going to have to talk to him. We can bring him out to Washington, develop a profile and come up with a Terry Rose. It's going to have a great finish."
We're here for it. All of it.
