FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Former Patriots players will share their expertise with young athletes in Rhode Island tomorrow, July 20 when they bring their signature "Football for YOU" one-day camp to Providence. The New England Patriots Alumni Club (NEPAC) will offer the free football clinic at Classical High School's Al Morro Stadium. The Patriots refurbished the stadium in 2010, installing a new FieldTurf surface. Nearly a dozen former pros are slotted to be on hand to coach more than 250 area youngsters.
"Football for YOU" will take place from 12:30 to 4:00 p.m. in Providence on July 20. Walk up registrations are welcome. The one-day clinic will include three-time Super Bowl Champion Patrick Pass, who will lead youth in a football skills station beginning at 1 p.m. and will later speak to children about his experience as a Patriots player.
"Our alumni really enjoy bringing football to different communities in New England, and Providence is one that we look forward to," said NEPAC President Peter Brock. "It's great to come back to this field for the third year and know that the Patriots helped make this a great place for football, physical fitness and fun."
"Football for You" gives aspiring stars the chance to learn skills from former Patriots players and local high school coaches in seven different skill stations. The event will conclude with a dinner and gift bags for all the participants. Classical High School is located at 770 Westminster Street in Providence, R.I.
