HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (March 24, 2006) -- The New York Jets re-signed veteran tight end Chris Baker.
Baker has spent his four-year career with the Jets after being taken in the third round of the 2002 draft. The 6-foot-3, 258-pound Baker started the first eight games of 2005 before breaking his left leg and missing the rest of the season. He had posted a career-high in yards receiving with 269 on 18 receptions, which tied his career-best.
Baker has 52 career receptions for 602 yards and five touchdowns.
The Jets also signed rookie free-agent fullback Micheal Warren.
