Kitchen Prep Cooks will work with and support Kitchen Cooks in preparing and plating food for all suite, club and catered events. Kitchen Prep Cooks will also be responsible for light cooking, cleaning and other kitchen activities. Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of items as indicated on prep sheets or as directed by Kitchen Cooks
- Responsible for the efficient delivery of food from refrigerator and freezer to kitchen using proper handling techniques
- Assist with the closing down of the kitchen; including the cleaning of all dirty equipment and properly storing kitchen items and food
- Other duties as requiredQualifications:
- Minimum two years of professional catering experience
- Experience baking, grilling, broiling, and frying
- Knowledge of kitchen knife handling skills
- Knowledge of how to operate large kitchen machinery
- Must be 18 years of age
- Read and understand instructions in basic English
- Comprehend verbal instructions in basic English
- Speak and communicate in basic English
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively
- Ability to safely maneuver up and down flights of stairs/steps, repetitively
- Ability to maneuver within work spaces
- Ability to briefly operate in a refrigerated room
- Ability to work on multiple tasks
- Ability to work independent of direct supervision
- Ability to fulfill mandated work hours
