Between Nate Ebner chasing his dream of competing in rugby at the international level and Gisele Bündchen shining in the opening ceremony, Patriots Nation has a lot to be proud of in Rio de Janeiro.
Patriots players and fans have been voicing their support through social media and in other displays of pride as the Summer Olympics unfold, and so far, there has been no shortage of Patriots ties to the games. Check out what some Patriots players and fans have been saying.
Danny Amendola and Logan Ryan tweeted out their encouragement for Nate before he even left for Rio, letting him know his teammates were cheering him on from New England.
Matthew Slater took it one further. On the first day of training camp, Matthew stepped on the practice field without his No. 18. Instead, he rocked Nate's No. 43 for the day to honor his teammate.
"I know this means a great deal to him and we're all excited for him. I'm just trying to figure out where I can get my Ebner rugby jersey. I'll be supporting him and watching him along the way," Matthew said at a press conference on July 27.
While Nate has the support back home, he also found some Patriot love in an unlikely place: the Colombian women's rugby team. Nathalie Marchino has played rugby in the United States is competing for Columbia in the Olympics, and as it turns out, she's a Patriots fan.
Nathalie posted a picture with Nate on her Twitter account during breakfast.
Nate has also been taking full advantage of the Olympic experience, even bonding with the different sports of Team U.S.A. The U.S.A. men's rugby team made time to watch the men's basketball team practice, and Nate even snagged a picture with Golden State Warriors Draymond Green and Kevin Durant.
Nate isn't the only face familiar to Patriots Nation getting the spotlight on the Olympic stage. Gisele represented her home country of Brazil during the opening ceremony on Aug. 5. The world renowned supermodel made her final strides down the catwalk with the world watching, including her husband.
Though Tom Brady was in New England for training camp as his wife stole the show in style, he turned to Facebook to share his pride and love of Gisele.

While Gisele's final walk may be in the books, Patriots fans can catch Nate this week as he and his teammates make their case for Olympic gold on the rugby field.
