*TRADE 1The Patriots acquired Cincinnati's 2012 first-round pick during a 2012 draft day trade on April 26 in exchange for the Patriots' 2012 first-round pick (27th overall) and the Patriots' 2012 third-round pick (93rd overall).The Patriots originally acquired the pick from New Orleans along with their 2011 second round pick (56th overall that was used to selected RB Shane Vereen) during a 2011 draft day trade on April 28, 2011 in exchange for the Patriots' 2011 first-round pick (28th overall).
*TRADE 2 The Patriots acquired Denver's 2012 first-round pick during a 2012 draft day trade on April 26 in exchange for the Patriots' 2012 first-round pick (31st overall) and the Patriots' 2012 fourth-round pick (126th overall).
*TRADE 3 The Patriots acquired Green Bay's 2012 third round pick (90th overall) and Green Bay's fifth round pick (163rd overall) during a 2012 draft day trade on April 27 in exchange for the Patriots' 2012 second round pick (62nd overall).
*TRADE 4 The Patriots acquired Green Bay's 2012 sixth-round pick (197th overall) and Green Bay's two seventh-round picks (224th overall) and (235th overall) in exchange for the Patriots fifth-round pick (163th overall). The fifth-round pick was originally obtained in a trade with Green Bay earlier in the 2012 draft.

• The Patriots were without a fifth-round pick in 2012 due to a trade with Cincinnati. The Patriots traded a fifth-round pick in 2012 and a sixth-round pick in 2013 in exchange for WR Chad Ochocinco on July 29, 2011.
• The Patriots were without a sixth-round pick in 2012 due to a trade with Philadelphia in exchange for LB Tracy White and a 2012 seventh-round pick on Sept. 5, 2010. The Patriots traded the seventh-round pick obtained in the Tracy White trade to Minnesota along with WR Randy Moss for a 2011 third-round pick (74th overall – used to select Ryan Mallett) on Oct. 6, 2010.
• The Patriots were without a seventh round pick in 2012 NFL due to a trade with Kansas City in exchange for S Jarrad Page on Sept. 5, 2010.
