Patriots and State Police to promote safe summer travel

The New England Patriots and the State Police have teamed up to promote safe summer vacation travel through "Summer Safety Blitz" event at Patriot Place on Tuesday, June 30 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Patriots and the State Police agencies from the New England states and New York will promote safe summer vacation travel through a "Summer Safety Blitz" event at Patriot Place on Tuesday, June 30 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

State Police representatives from Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont and New York will be on hand to talk to the public about safe travel in advance of the July Fourth holiday and the summer vacation season. State Police helicopters from different departments as well as State Police cruisers, motorcycles and mobile breath alcohol testing vehicles will be displayed on Patriot Place Plaza and in the parking lots for visitors to view and explore.

The event will kick off with a state police officer discussing child seat safety and reading to kids at 10:30 a.m. at Patriot Place's CBS Scene. A press conference with State Police officials, Mothers Against Drunk Driving and AAA on Patriot Place Plaza will follow, and the public will be able to explore the helicopters and state police vehicles until 1 p.m.
