FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (January 27, 2012) - The Kraft family and New England Patriots today announced 10 lucky and deserving winners of the "Super Bowl for Super People" online sweepstakes. Each winner will receive a trip for themselves and a guest to Super Bowl XLVI in thanks for their public service as an extension of the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation's season-long "Celebrate Volunteerism" campaign.
Ten winners were randomly selected from a pool of police officers, firefighters, teachers, military personnel and nurses in New England who were identified and nominated as "Super People" by their superiors. Nearly 4,000 outstanding individuals in the public service sector were nominated during the two-day nomination period.
The two winners from each category will receive the "Super Bowl for Super People" package, an all-expenses paid, one-day trip to Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis for them and a guest, including game tickets, round-trip airfare, transportation to and from the game and tickets to the Patriots' postgame party.
"Throughout the season, we celebrated volunteerism in my sweetheart's honor," said Patriots Chairman and CEO Robert Kraft. "Today, we honor 10 men and women who represent so many others in the field of public service and thank them for their selfless service to our New England communities. We are proud to honor these 10 individuals with this 'Super Bowl for Super People' sweepstakes. We have heard countless examples of outstanding service through our 'Celebrate Volunteerism' campaign and we are happy to extend the campaign with the recognition of these deserving individuals."

Winners of the "Super Bowl for Super People" sweepstakes will participate in the Super Bowl Send-Off Event at Gillette Stadium on Sunday, January 29. The Patriots and sponsors Dunkin' Donuts and Covidien are inviting fans to the free event, where they can see the team off to Indianapolis to take on the New York Giants in Super Bowl XLVI. Just prior to the players boarding the busses for the airport, Patriots President Jonathan Kraft, Bill Belichick and the entire team will great fans from the Gillette Stadium field. Gates open at 10:15 a.m., the AFC Championship replay will take place at 10:30 a.m. followed by the send-off program at noon.
