Despite a losing tenure with the Oakland Raiders, Patriots LB Derrick Burgesscomes to Foxborough with one objective. According to a *Boston Globe *story, Burgess has put the Raider days behind him. "That's why I'm here - I'm about winning," Burgess said after his first practice. Read more of Burgess's comments here.

The team welcomed back LB Shawn Crable on Sunday as he made his first training camp appearance. Crable, who was placed on injured reserve last season due to a shin injury before playing a snap, expressed the difficulty of not being on the field with his teammates. "I mean you're sitting in meetings and you don't see yourself on the film and you're watching the coach talk to other people and watch other people get better while you're just sitting and trying to get out there," Crable said according to the Globe.

Head Coach Bill Belichick has encouraging words about Crable.
