As training camp continues at Gillette Stadium, it has become apparent TE Benjamin Watsonhas some company. This year's camp, perhaps more than ever, features a plethora of tight ends including Chris Baker, David Thomas, Tyson DeVree and Alex Smith. Although unknown as to which player holds the edge, a *Boston Globe *story suggests Watson “is not fulfilling his potential.”
In other news, despite new faces in the secondary, CB Jonathan Wilhitehas been impressive thus far in his second camp with the team. According to a *Providence Journal *story, Wilhite has been successful in covering WRs Wes Welker, Randy Moss and Joey Galloway. Read Wilhite's comments here.
Lastly in the blitz, QB Andrew Walteris cementing himself as a worthy backup. Head Coach Bill Belichick said of Walter at Monday's press conference that, "Andrew gets a little bit better each day." He's a talented kid, good arm, accurate with the ball, getting used to our offense."
