The long-snapper position was never a concern for the Patriots, at least for the last eight seasons. Entering the 2009 training camp without Lonnie Paxton, who reunited with Josh McDaniels in Denver, the team has a void to fill. The Patriots are looking to veteran Nathan Hodelor rookie sixth-round pick Jake Ingram to do just that. According to the Boston Globe, Hodel could step in based on experience or the team could attempt to "mold a Paxton-type long snapper of the future" out of Ingram. No team carries two long snappers meaning one will be cut.
