After a flurry of activity involving the Patriots since their 2008 season ended, today is a bit light as far as team news is concerned.

The *Boston Herald *has a feature on whom New England may be interested in at this weekend's Senior Bowl.

Meanwhile, several Patriots have made *USA TODAY's *all-star team.

With all the recent defections from the Patriots coaching staff and personnel department, some observers are whispering that it might be hard for the team to recover.

Not so, says a *Sports Illustrated *football columnist, who writes that New England's demise has been greatly exaggerated.

And a story in a Texas newspaper seems to agree. It says the Pats are oddsmakers' favorite to win Super Bowl XLIV next year.
