Former Patriots wide receiver Donte Stallworth was reinstated by NFL commissioner Roger Goodel Monday and will work out for a team according to his agent Drew Rosenhaus. Stallworth's contract was terminated by the Cleveland Browns following a 30-day jail sentence stemming from felony DUI manslaughter when he killed a pedestrian in Miami Beach, Fla. The *Boston Globe's *Adam Kilgore writes the Patriots are a potential fit for the wide out, who recorded 46 receptions for 697 yards and three touchdowns in 2007, his only season with the team. The story adds that Stallworth could help fill the third wide receiver position, which the team lacked during the 2009 season.

A league source, as reported on Profootballtalk.com, says Stallworth is working out for the Detroit Lions

The Patriots will host the Colts next season and *ESPN Boston's *Mike Reiss believes the game will be "less about scheme, and more about getting better playmakers on the field." Reiss cites CB Jonathan Wilhitecovering WR Reggie Wayne as a prime example of a mismatch, and placing a better cornerback on Wayne is a microcosm for possible changes come next season.
