The Patriots have filled more vacancies in their coaching staff and scouting ranks. Promoting from within, New England assigned a pair of scouting veterans to higher positions and named coaching assistant Shane Waldron the team's new tight ends coach.
Speaking to* The Boston Globe *at a community event Thursday evening, TE Benjamin Watsonsaid he had a good relationship with his new position coach.
"Last year he was doing a lot with the offense, and he was in all of our meetings and everything," Watson explained in today's story. "He didn't have the title of coach, but he was definitely involved in the planning and the breaking down of film and stuff like that, so it's great for him to have a chance to move up and have an official title."
