RB Laurence Maroneyhad his season cut short last year due to injury, but now he is healthy and excited for the new season. Maroney told the *Providence Journal *that he is looking forward to working with the new additions to the running back position saying he "just wants to win."
The cornerback position has been a higlight of this year's offseason for the Patriots. One of the new aquisitions fighting for a starting spot is CB Shawn Springs. He told the *Boston Herald *about getting to work against such a talented group of receivers. "You’re always working. When you cover that type of speed you won’t be shocked when you get in the game."
After being drafted in the third round in last year's NFL draft, LB Shawn Crabledisplayed sparks of what could be a promising career. After having his season cut short to injury, Crable is looking forward to any oppurtunity that presents itself. Crable told the *Enterprise News *that he will "learn ... stay in the [play]book and learn. When my opportunity gets called, come in and show what I can do. You have to know what you're doing and be able to do it. Get a little confidence and consistency going, that’s what I’m working on now."
