John Tomase of the Boston Herald has a story on Patriots defensive end Ty Warren. He's coming off the best season of his career but Warren says he's not satisfied. Nicknamed "Boss Hogg" as a kid growing up in Texas, Warren says he and the rest of the Patriots defensive line don't listen to talk of which team in the NFL has the best defensive front.
Tomase has another story about Ty Law where he states the Arizona Cardinals didn't contact Law but instead, his agents contacted the team regarding their client. Tomase points out that the Cardinals could be a good fit because they still have $10 million worth of cap space available.
Eric McHugh of the Patriot Ledger talks about the possibility of receiver Deion Branch sitting out next week's mini-camp while he waits for the team to give him a new contract. McHugh writes that by rewarding Richard Seymour with a big contract after he missed mini-camp last year, the Patriots might have set a precedent for other players to take the same approach as he did in regards to contract negotiations.
Mike Reiss of the Boston Globe offers up his daily blog. He discusses how three years ago a trade the Patriots made with the Baltimore Ravens so they could select Kyle Boller, netted the team both Vince Wilfork and Eugene Wilson with the draft picks they received from Baltimore.
