FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Patriots announced today that they have re-signed OL Jason King. King was released by the Patriots on May 10, 2018. In addition, the Patriots released rookie free agent WR Chris Lacy.
King, 24, was signed by the New England Patriots to a future contract on Feb. 6, 2018. The 6-foot-4, 310-pounder originally entered the NFL with New England as a rookie free agent out of Purdue on May 5, 2017. King went through training camp with the team and was released prior to the start of the regular season. He was signed by New England to the practice squad on Sept. 20 and released on Oct. 9, before joining the Ravens practice squad on Oct. 31. He was released by Baltimore on Nov. 14 and signed to the Patriots 53-man roster on Nov. 28. King was released on Dec. 2 before re-joining the practice squad on Dec. 5.
Lacy, 22, was signed by the Patriots as a rookie free agent on May 11, 2018. He caught 20 passes for 264 yards as a senior. The 6-foot-3, 205-pounder was a four-year player at Oklahoma State and finished his college career with 63 receptions for 920 yards and five touchdowns.
