FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Patriots announced today that they have released WR Corey Coleman from the practice squad.
Coleman, 24, was signed by the New England Patriots to the practice squad on Sept. 20, 2018 after being released by New England from the 53-man roster on Sept. 17, 2018. He was signed by New England to the 53-man roster on Sept. 11, 2018 and was inactive for the game at Jacksonville on Sept. 16. The 5-foot-11, 185-pounder is a veteran of two NFL seasons with the Cleveland Browns (2016-17). Coleman originally entered the NFL as a first-round draft pick (15th overall) by Cleveland out of Baylor in the 2016 NFL Draft. He was traded from Cleveland to Buffalo for a 2020 seventh-round draft selection on Aug. 8, 2018 and released by Buffalo on Sept. 1, 2018. Coleman has played in 19 NFL games with 18 starts and has 56 receptions for 718 yards and five touchdowns.
