FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The New England Patriots signed seventh-round draft choice DL Darryl Richardtoday. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Richard, a defensive lineman from Georgia Tech, was drafted by the Patriots with the second of two seventh-round selections, the 234th overall selection.
Richard, 6-4, 295 pounds, played in 52 games with 43 starts at Georgia Tech, finishing his career with 98 total tackles (60 solo) and 12.5 sacks.
Richard enjoyed the best season of his college career as a senior in 2008 and was named second-team All-ACC and won the prestigious Tatum Award from the ACC.
