… It was bright, sunny, and chilly, with a stiff wind, but that's probably not why the Patriots decided to take their practice indoors to the Dana-Farber Field House. My guess is, they'll be cranking up the music to simulate the raucous crowd noise conditions at Mile High this Sunday. In any event, the team worked out in shells, helmets, and sweats for their final session of Broncos Week.
… Right tackle Sebastian Vollmer (back/right foot) and safety Patrick Chung (right foot) did not practice all week. In all likelihood, both will be inactive for the game in Denver.
… New England has one roster spot open on the 53-man roster after releasing rookie DB Malcolm Williams this week. Head coach Bill Belichick said he expected to fill the slot prior to kickoff on Sunday, but didn't rule out waiting until after the game to do so.
… The Patriots' charter flight to Denver departs later this afternoon, giving the team a full extra day to get acclimated to the thinner mountain air and the two-hour time zone difference.
… Monitor your Twitter feeds and the PFW blog throughout the weekend, as we could have updates on which players did not travel and/or will be inactive for the Broncos game, plus any other news (e.g., a signing to the active roster) that arises. As always, we should have a final injury report, with game status info, around 4 p.m.
