If you've been training for the 2008 Boston Marathon but have not been able to secure a number for the legendary race, the Patriots have some great news for you! The New England Patriots Charitable Foundation has a limited number of invitational entries into the 2008 marathon, which guarantees entry into the race and waives all qualifying requirements.
The New England Patriots Charitable Foundation's primary goal is to support programs that aid the youth and families of the New England region by assisting programs that foster cultural diversity, education, family and health. All participants who are selected will run on behalf of the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation and will be asked to raise a minimum of $3,000. The fundraising minimum of $3,000 should be considered a step to even higher fundraising goals. We seek team members who are truly interested in helping to raise maximum funds to ensure the youth and families of the New England region receive the maximum amount of support.
Members of the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation Marathon Team will be provided with fundraising tips and information pertaining to the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation, as well as have incentive prizes for reaching certain fundraising goals. Additionally, team members will receive a team branded running shirt, and will be sent off to run the Boston Marathon by a member of the New England Patriots Alumni.
