Robert Kraft on behalf of the entire New England Patriots organization on the passing of team physician Dr. Mark Price (1972-2024):
It is with profound sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Dr. Mark Price, an esteemed team physician, after a valiant fight against cancer.
Dr. Price became the Patriots head team physician and medical director in 2016 and served with exceptional expertise. His contributions to the health and well-being of our players were invaluable, and his commitment to excellence was evident in every aspect of his work.
He not only served the Patriots, but he served as a patriot as a captain in the U.S. Navy Reserves. He was awarded a Bronze Star Medal for his service in combat operations in Afghanistan.
Dr. Price was a Sports Medicine orthopedic surgeon at Mass General Brigham Sports Medicine. He earned his MD at Harvard Medical School, further solidifying his expertise and dedication to the medical field.
His efforts extended beyond the football field, impacting countless lives through his medical practice and community involvement.
We extend our deepest condolences to Dr. Price's family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time. His legacy will endure through the many lives he touched and the lasting impact of his work.
