It's been more than a week since the Patriots epic comeback win, and it's no surprise that fans all across New England still want to celebrate the sweetest victory of them all. And a couple fans took that sweet victory thing literally.

The bakers at Montilio's Bakery in Brockton constructed a 6-foot-6, 250 pound life-sized cake version of Tom Brady.

George came up with the idea while watching the game with his wife, hoping that the Patriots would pull off the win. When the team came through, he looked at his wife and told her that they had to make the quarterback out of cake. He called one of his cake decorators, who immediately jumped on board the project.

"We were so excited," owner George Montilio said. "I said, 'Call everybody else. We gotta make him.' That was as fast as it happened."

The cake took 130 hours to make and needed three full-time bakers to help complete. They used 100 pounds of granulated sugar, 50 pounds of fondant icing, 40 pounds of cake flour, 30 pounds of eggs, five pounds of baking soda, two pounds of salt, one quart of vanilla and 12 quarts of milk. To make the arms, they used Rice Krispies.

"The pipe cutter worked Monday, Tuesday and then they started at 6 a.m. on Wednesday morning, and they got done at 8 p.m.," George said. "Then they went all day the next day until like 7 p.m. and the next day they went until even later. We got done Friday night with it."

The bakery displayed the cake over the weekend for Patriots fans who braved the snowstorm to see it at their Braintree location. Over the two days, at least 700 fans stopped by the store to grab photos of the cake and of themselves holding the trophy made of fondant. Patriots' supporters far and wide phoned relatives and friends to make sure they got in on the action.

"Well the farthest phone call I got was from Chattanooga, Tenn.," said George. "Actually, I have to say no, it was Calif."

After the weekend, the cake travelled back to Brockton and will displayed at Lombardo's in Randolph, Mass., on Thursday during Winterfest for the Chamber of Commerce of the South Shore. It will be served to students at Cardinal Cushing School in Hanover, Mass., on Friday.

This isn't the first time the bakery has made life-sized cakes of Patriots figures, and George promises that this won't be their last creation either. The bakery plans on creating cake statues of Robert Kraft, Bill Belichick and another Tom Brady.
