As part of the NFL Play 60 initiative and to kick off National Nutrition Month, Patriots safety Brandon McGowan visited Monument High School in South Boston on March, 1. At the "Wellness Event," in partnership the New England Patriots and the New England Dairy & Food Council, McGowan spoke with the students about the importance of a healthy eating choices and being physically active, and then participated in a students vs. faculty activity challenge to encourage the students to get at least 60 minutes of exercise each day.

Monument High School was chosen to participate in the program because its "Wellness Warriors" group has taken leadership to work with the Fuel up and Play 60 program to provide healthier meal options and increase opportunities for physical activity within the school.
