FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Patriots announced that they have signed CB Stephon Gilmore as an unrestricted free agent from the Buffalo Bills. Terms of the contract were not announced.
Gilmore, 26, is a veteran of five NFL seasons with Buffalo after originally entering the NFL as a first-round draft pick (10th overall) out of South Carolina in the 2012 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-1, 190-pounder, has played in 68 games with 66 starts and accumulated 198 total tackles, 14 interceptions and 68 passes defensed. Last season, Gilmore started in all 15 games that he played and finished with 42 total tackles and a career-best of five interceptions to earn his first Pro Bowl invitation.
