FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Patriots signed rookie free agent wide receiver Terrence Nunn today. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Nunn, 22, played four seasons at the University of Nebraska from 2004-07. The 6-foot, 190-pound wide receiver appeared in 49 games with 37 starts for the Cornhuskers and caught 136 passes for 1,762 yards and 11 touchdowns. His 136 career receptions ranked second in Nebraska history, just seven shy of the school record (143). The Houston native's 1,762 receiving yards also placed second in school annals. As a senior in 2007, he played in all 12 games with 10 starts and had 35 receptions for 452 yards and a touchdown. In 2006, he set a career high with 597 receiving yards on 42 catches, and in 2005 had a career-high seven touchdown receptions on a career-best 43 catches and totaled 495 receiving yards. Nunn was not previously signed or drafted by an NFL team prior to joining the Patriots.
