FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Patriots traded wide receiver Deion Branch to the Seattle Seahawks today in exchange for an undisclosed selection in the 2007 NFL Draft.
Branch, 27, was selected by the Patriots in the second round (65th overall) of the 2002 NFL Draft and played in 53 games with 42 starts for New England from 2002-05. The 5-foot-9-inch, 193-pound wide receiver caught 213 passes for 2,744 yards and 14 touchdowns in four seasons with the Patriots. In eight career playoff games, the Louisville product recorded 41 receptions for 619 yards and two touchdowns.
