We usually have to wait until Friday afternoon to crack open the Six-Pack, but with the long holiday weekend and the Thanksgiving Day game the fun begins on Wednesday this week. Coming off the big, down-to-the-wire win over Indy the Patriots had a quick turnaround to get ready for the 2-8 but tough Detroit Lions. We know how much respect Bill Belichick has for Jim Schwartz and the second-year coach has his team fighting even though it's not winning. Detroit is used to the Turkey Day schedule. While it's not quite the same, the Patriots have played on the holiday three times since 2000. In the standings the Patriots are clearly the better team. But lack of familiarity with the Lions, the short week and the crazy nature of this NFL season make this game very much worth watching. So sit back, relax and prepare for Thursday's early kickoff while you sip on this egg nog infused Wednesday edition of the Six-Pack.
