Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow has been the story of the NFL of late. Even Patriots players were joking this week that the only questions reporters had revolved around the 48-percent passer they were facing this Sunday in Denver.
Many have tried to explain Tebow's inexplicable fourth-quarter comebacks and victories by looking to the possible intervention of a higher being. That's debatable, and in fact has been debated all week on talk radio stations around the country.
While it's unclear what Tebow has going for him in terms of luck or higher power, he does face a bit of a challenge this week beyond just beating the Patriots. Tebow is on the cover of this week's issue of Sports Illustrated and therefore has to deal with the dreaded SI cover jinx.
If he loses on Sunday it could be due to the fact that he's finally facing a good team with a good quarterback who won't let him hang around through three quarters of abysmal play. Or, it could be thanks to his appearance on this cover:
