FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – In recognition of Veterans Day on Friday, Nov. 11, The Hall at Patriot Place presented by Raytheon is offering free admission to veterans and active military with proper military identification from Nov. 11 to 13.
The offer gives veterans and active military the opportunity to relive Patriots and New England football history in a one-of-a-kind, cutting-edge sports and education facility.
Visitors can relive the Patriots' championship glory inside The Hall's signature exhibit, "The Super Bowl Experience," which highlights each of the organization's four championship seasons and showcases the team's four Lombardi trophies and Super Bowl championship rings. New at The Hall this fall is "The Birth of Pat Patriot" exhibit, which focuses on cartoonist Phil Bissell's creation of the original Pat Patriot logo along with his many drawings used for Patriots game programs throughout the 1960s.
"Phil Bissell created such an iconic figure and while the original drawing has been tweaked over the years to form what is the current version of Pat, it all started with Bissell's original drawing back in 1960," said Bryan Morry, executive director of The Hall.
The exhibit will be on display until the summer of 2017.
Since opening in September 2008, The Hall has offered free admission to military each Veterans Day and Memorial Day. Military personnel were also offered free admission in 2010 during an extension of the traveling exhibit, "Pro Football and the American Spirit," which told the story of professional football players and personnel who served in the military from WWII to Desert Storm and the conflict in Afghanistan.
Veterans and active military can complement their trip to The Hall with a visit to CBS Scene Restaurant & Bar at Patriot Place, which will offer a complementary lunch to servicemen and women with a valid military ID Nov. 11-13.
