Foxborough, Mass. (Nov. 4, 2009) - Next week, The Hall at Patriot Place presented by Raytheon is set to kick off new weekly programs and promotions for fans of all ages.
"These new programs expand on our existing programs for visiting school groups to allow any visitor an experience beyond a self-guided tour," said Bryan Morry, executive director of The Hall. "The activities meet our mission statement of providing the community with educational, entertaining content and allow our personnel to interpret artifacts, images and video that tell the story of the Patriots and New England football."
The Hall will offer formal guided tours every Tuesday and Wednesday at 2 p.m. with knowledgeable guides who will share their own unique perspectives on The Hall and its 11 exhibit galleries covering 30,000 square feet over two floors. The guides will highlight the moments that have shaped Patriots history.
Tuesday is also the day fans can win when the Patriots perform. Each week, The Hall website, www.thehallatpatriotplace.com, will announce a "Terrific Tuesday" game day incentive. If the Patriots reach the goal, all tickets will be $5 on the following Tuesday. For Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins, if the Patriots defense holds Dolphins running backs Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown to less than their combined 2009 per game average of 134 rushing yards, all tickets to The Hall on Tuesday will be $5.
Wednesday will be "Kids Day" at The Hall. The Hall's staff will engage preschool-aged children in age-appropriate activities. Stories, projects, singing and dancing will provide parents with a fun, engaging activity for their children every Wednesday at 11 a.m.
Thursdays at 2 p.m., hardcore football fans will have the opportunity to delve deeper into an artifact or display with "Inside The Hall" tours. Curator Brent Hensel will provide a perspective not available on the self-guided tour. He may share the story behind an exhibit in The Hall or dig into the archives to explore the history of an artifact not on display. This will be an intimate experience for the Patriots fan starving for more knowledge.
Space will be limited for these programs. Check www.thehallatpatriotplace.com or call 508-698-4800 for more information. Also follow The Hall on Facebook and Twitter (twitter.com/TheHall) for up-to-the-minute updates.
