NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (1-0) vs. PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (0-1)

Thursday, Aug. 16, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. ET. Gillette Stadium (65,878)

SERIES HISTORY

The Patriots and Eagles will meet for the 23rd time in the preseason and for the first time in the preseason since 2014 when the Eagles spent time practicing with the Patriots on the fields at Gillette Stadium prior to the preseason contest. It marked the second straight season that the two teams held joint sessions. In 2013, the Patriots traveled to Philadelphia to practice for a few days prior to a preseason game.

This week's game will be a rematch of Super Bowl LII, a 41-33 victory for Philadelphia at US Bank Stadium In Minnesota. The Patriots and Eagles last met in the regular season on Dec. 6, 2015, when New England fell, 35-28, to Philadelphia at Gillette Stadium.

While the teams have played just 12 times in the regular season, they have played 22 times in the preseason with the Patriots claiming a 12-10 edge in the series.

Philadelphia leads the all-time regular-season series with a 7-5 margin.
