Patriot Place to host 7th annual Harvard Pilgrim Finish at the 50 5K and 10K races on July 3

Annual races finish with fanfare at the 50-yard line of Gillette Stadium, the home of the New England Patriots and New England Revolution.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. –For those who have ever dreamed of running out onto the home turf of your favorite sports team to the cheers of thousands of fans, Sunday, July 3 is your chance at Patriot Place's seventh annual Finish at the 50 races presented by Harvard Pilgrim Health Care.

The event has become an annual kickoff to celebrating the Fourth of July in patriotic fashion at the home of the New England Patriots and New England Revolution with three race options that put participants of all ages and skills on the Gillette Stadium turf. The Kids' Fun Run gives children ages 2-12 a chance to run a lap inside Gillette Stadium before finishing at the 50-yard line.

The 5K is run completely on the Patriot Place campus while the 10K includes both Patriot Place and Foxborough roads. Both the 5K and 10K races end in thrilling fashion as participants emerge from under the Patriots' inflatable helmet onto stadium field to the cheers of the crowd, including Patriots mascot Pat Patriot and Patriots Cheerleaders, as they charge toward the finish at the 50-yard line. Participants are shown on the stadium's video boards and their names are called over the stadium's PA system as they cross the finish line and receive their Finish at the 50 medal.

The post-race celebration includes a spectacular fireworks display lasting more than 20 minutes. The show begins at 9 p.m. and is accompanied by a musical score available on Dean College Radio, Power 88 FM (88.3 FM), or by streaming online at **www.power883.org**. The fireworks can be seen in the shadow of Gillette Stadium throughout Patriot Place's North Marketplace and parking lots. Parking is free.

A portion of the proceeds from each race entry will benefit One Mission, the kids' cancer support foundation that offers programs and services to provide immediate relief to children with cancer and their families. Since 2009, One Mission has raised more than $6 million and has brought smiles, comfort and support to more than 5,000 children and families fighting cancer.

Earlier in the week, Patriot Place will host a health and wellness expo and more than 30 free family activities on July 1-2, including live music, caricature and balloon artists, face painting, sidewalk chalk, a photo booth, New England Revolution fan and Patriot Place fun zones, appearances by Marvel superheroes and an interactive fire truck from A Truck for All Occasions.
